Begin the Week with Words

Wow, this is hard as it happens, but amazing to look back upon.

“Your most profound and intimate experiences of worship will likely be in your darkest days – when your heart is broken, when you feel abandoned, when you're out of options, when the pain is great – and you turn to God alone.” ~ Rick Warren

  1. Oh, I see you're reading Crime and Punishment. You'll have to let me know what you think. I haven't read it, but I think I will one day. I read The Brothers Karamazov.

    2. Yes, I'm very glad I read it, and most of it I really liked. But there were a few times where it could have put me to sleep.
I also read it over a period of about 11 months. I don't recommend that, but it was always nice to come back to.
It would be awesome to take a class on it. I did find this lady on Youtube who did some "lectures" or discussions on it but I was never where she was in the story so it was hard to join in with her.

    3. I've found that with many big classics. Like Les Mis, I loved it overall, but there were definitely some snoozing parts!

  2. Oh, this quote fits great in the context of Crime and Punishment! I love the book - we studied it at school, and I read it several times since. It's awesome.

    1. I'm about 100 pages in, so I'm waiting to see the author's purpose take a more definite shape. Liking it so far!
